Humphreys Peak is Arizona's highest point at 12,637 feet, part of the San Francisco Peaks near Flagstaff. History
Named after General Andrew Humphreys, the peak is the highest point of an ancient volcano that once stood over 15,000 feet tall. The San Francisco Peaks are considered sacred by several Native American tribes, including the Hopi, Navajo, and others who view them as important spiritual sites.
