West Bond
#16About West Bond
West Bond stands at 4,540 feet and is one of the most remote and spectacular peaks in the White Mountains. The summit offers incredible 360-degree views with dramatic cliff edges on multiple sides. Reaching West Bond requires a significant commitment, typically as part of a long day hike or backpacking trip deep into the Pemigewasset Wilderness.
History
West Bond is a relatively young addition to the official 4,000-footer list, added in the 1980s when improved measurements confirmed its elevation. The mountain's remote location and spectacular summit views have made it a prized destination for serious hikers. The peak represents the wild, untamed character of the Pemigewasset Wilderness.
