Mount Passaconaway stands at 4,043 feet and features a wooded summit with several viewpoints nearby. The mountain is part of the Sandwich Range and offers multiple approach routes. The peak is often climbed in combination with neighboring Mount Whiteface via the scenic Rollins Trail.
History
Named after Passaconaway, a 17th-century Native American leader and Chief of the Pennacook Confederacy who was known for his wisdom and peaceful leadership. The mountain has been a hiking destination since the late 1800s. The Dicey's Mill Trail and Rollins Trail provide popular access routes.
