Mount Osceola stands at 4,340 feet and features a scenic loop trail that includes both the main summit and East Peak. The mountain offers excellent views from the main summit, particularly towards the Franconia Range. The eastern slopes were once home to a historic ski area. The mountain's trails pass through beautiful hardwood and conifer forests.
History
Named after the Seminole leader Osceola, the mountain has been a hiking destination since the development of Waterville Valley as a tourist area in the mid-1800s. The Mount Osceola Trail was established in the early 20th century. The area saw ski development in the 1960s, though the summit area remains pristine wilderness.
