North Tripyramid stands at 4,180 feet and is the higher of the two Tripyramid peaks. The mountain features the famous North Slide, a steep, challenging scramble that provides one of the most exciting routes in the White Mountains. The summit offers good views, particularly to the north and west.
History
The Tripyramid peaks were named for their distinctive three-peaked appearance when viewed from certain angles. The North Slide became a popular scrambling route in the mid-20th century and remains one of the most challenging and exciting trail experiences in the Whites. The slide formed naturally and provides a unique hiking experience.
