Mount Flume reaches 4,328 feet and offers spectacular views from its summit ledges. The mountain is typically climbed as part of the popular Franconia Ridge Loop, one of the most scenic day hikes in New England. The summit provides dramatic views of Liberty and the southern Franconia Range.
History
Named after the nearby Flume Gorge, a natural wonder discovered in 1808, Mount Flume has been part of the Franconia Range hiking circuit since the establishment of the trail network. The peak's proximity to the Flume Visitor Center makes it a popular destination for visitors to Franconia Notch State Park.
