Nippletop and Dial via Elk Pass 1/5/26

Nippletop, Dial Mountain
The morning started out at -5 degrees from St.Huberts. I generally actually love the road walk in (I guess its the thru hiker in me). Its a nice way to warm up and stretch the legs. I bare booted from the parking lot to the gill brook cutoff and from the snowshoed the rest of the day back to lake road. There was a ton of snow from elk pass to nippletop. I broke a lot of snow of the ridge between nippletop and dial. Going down from Bear Den to lake road was very thing snow coverage in areas with a solid amount of ice. I definitely ate it a few times. Overall amazing day.
