Lower Wolf Jaw, and Big Slide on 11/12/25
Big Slide Mountain,
Lower Wolf Jaw
There was decent coverage of snow to the interior outpost from the Garden lot, probably 1-3 inches. Starting on the path to lower wolf jaw was really wet, but once you hit 3000' in elevation it starts to get really icy with a layer of snow on top. Once I hit 3600 feet the ice became thick enough to feel very comfy, with maybe 4-6 inches of snow on top. The climb up wolf jaw was a lot of steep ice. I used just micro spikes, but crampons would definitely make you feel better. On the way to Big Slide it was all very similar. The ladders were covered in snow, and were fun going up. Going down the second and first brother was a little tough being the thin layer of snow, and thin layer of ice mixed with melting ice.
